Low flow stress, high formability: our cold heading steels
In the rolled steel sector, we offer steels with improved cold workability for upsetting and heading operations. These materials are characterized by low flow stress, by a low propensity to work hardening during the forming process and by high ductility. To ensure the best quality cold-headed products, these steels are as free as possible from internal and external defects. Depending on the type of steel used in the cold-forming process, the material can be subjected to a controlled annealing process to achieve a lower initial strength.
